Hi people, been really busy the last couple of weeks and havn't had the time to answer your mails nor write any new blogposts.

However, I just felt that I needed to get this link out there for you guys to check out in case you havn't already: http://www.ssblueprints.net/sharepoint/

"Open Source Source Code and Full Blueprint coming soon" - Sounds promising

While you check out that link, I'll try to figure out the topic of my next MOSS post ;)

kp,

About creating usercontrols that fetches information from libraries and lists, check out these previous blogposts on the subject:

1. Adding support for ASP.NET AJAX in your SharePoint environment, which will enable you to use ASP.NET AJAX code in your webparts, usercontrols, application pages or any other way you'd like to use them:

www.sharepointblogs.com/.../moss-2007-add-support-for-ajax-in-your-sharepoint-installation.aspx

2. How to implement UserControls in SharePoint, that utilizes AJAX:

www.sharepointblogs.com/.../moss-2007-using-ajax-usercontrols-in-sharepoint.aspx

3. Post about how to use the object model to search (just look up how to use the SPWeb object and the Lists collection on that object, and you're off to play with the lists and libraries in no time:

www.sharepointblogs.com/.../moss-2007-creating-a-custom-ajax-usercontrol-that-will-query-the-sharepoint-search-query-object-model-to-perform-searches.aspx
