My solution for hide my publishingpage from te current navigation was:

SPWeb web = currentItem.Web;

PublishingWeb pw = PublishingWeb.GetPublishingWeb(web);

                pw.ExcludeFromNavigation(false, currentItem.UniqueId);

                pw.Update();

Behind the scenes this does exactly the same as page.IncludeInCurrentNavigation = false;.

I want to implement a expire policy where in if the document is not accessed for last 30 days, it has to be deleted. However,a warning mail needs to be sent to the author few days in advance. If the document is accessed in between the expire date needs to extended.

I am able to implement this feature. However whenever I activate the workflow from the document library manually, it does execute properly and able to reset the "Exempt from Policy" to no and able to delete the document if no body access it for particular time .

To Achive the desired functionality, I want to fire this workflow twice, ie first to send the warning message and then to delete the document. I am modifying the expire date after sending mail to the author to delete the document next time if it is not accessed even after the warning message.

But whenever the expiration policy job executes this workflow, upon completion of the workflow it sets "Exempt from Policy" to yes for the respective documents.

Is there any mechanism to not to exempt the document from policy once it is executed once?

Please let me know your thoughts on this.

Thanks in Advance.
