I am facing an issue where having more than 21 resources causes the follwing. When a user click the calendar looking webpart the drop down list is not populated with that resource name, you are required to click the list to fill in.

I too am havign problems with reserving a resource. I have full control and when I create a resource it becomes reserved indefinitely.

Any ideas?

I created a theme this way, the theme is visible in the list of themes. I changed theme.css in sharepoint designer, saved it. Now when I try to apply the theme i get the error:

"A theme with the name "Mine 1011" and version already exists on the server. "

I'm unable to proceed from here.

Also if any can suggest what to change in theme.css so that the changes reflect to only particular area;; like changing topnav changes the top navigation bar, simalarly for font..., for content editor webpart heading color....

Nate,

It seems like the workflow associated with the reservation template is not properly firing which makes the resource unavailable. Try to edit the xml file as Kenneth Scott describes at programmerramblings.blogspot.com/.../adventures-with-wss30-room-and.html and check if the status column value is "Available" for the resource. You should also be able to make a reservation with a Contributor.

Also, check if you configured the Reservations list for users to be able to edit their own items only. I noticed that if I allow users to only edit their own items, the reservations are not properly made (others can reserve the same resource at the same time frame).

Tigirry,

The resource was created from a user with Full Control. The resource workflow completes properly and it appears to be available at all times as the bar is all white (not purple), but when i try to make a new reservation, i get "the resource you are trying to reserve is not available at the time you specified." The strange part is it works perfectly on my virtual machine, but we can't get it to work on our development or production servers. Any ideas ?

as soon as i change the application.master page in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS my entire site started giving errors i tried to solve some error by placing ~/ as i cam to know that by editing the page in sd2007 breaks the links in the page . But now opening upload.aspx page it is giving me with error the website declined to view this webpage what shd i say. simply saying i edited the applcation.master page sd now i am facing error called The website declined to show this webpage when i open uplad.aspx page . plz help me

Master page created like this works fine now. But problem is if we go to any list (/sites/Lists/Listname1/AllItems.aspx ), it does not use this master page. Does that page uses some other master page may be something called Application master page???

Nate,

Check if you created a resource using System Account. As I described above, the resource will not be available for reservation is you create a resource with System Account. Use a different user who has Full Control permission to the site to create a resource.

I have run into a strange issue, when I attempt to create a reservation I get "The resource you are trying to reserve is not available at the time you specified"; however, the site is brand new and does not have any conflicting events.... any ideas how to resolve? Thanks!

And dont forget to delete this guy starting with ! sign. The error is generic so this could be other problem. But in 90% cases this extra file with ! sign starting is problem. You can find this file in your newely created THEME folder say myStyle. :)

One update: If you are getting "_themes/my_theme_name then try to find a file name starting with ! sign; for eg !fhjdhf.jpg . This guy makes WSS writer difficult to resolve the cache with on-fly generated theme.

you can change de description of hours from 12,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12

to 00,01,02,03,04,05,06,07,08,09,10,11,12,13,14...

just editing the xml in the webpart inside the portal

I followed your instructions but with one change. Instead of using the default.master, I used an already customized masterpage that does work when implemented manually in the sharepoint interface.

After I attempt to create a site using the customized site definition, I get a 403 error in IE-"Website declined to show this webpage"

Any ideas why?
