So being Sharepointed out over the last week, I decided to swing over to the open source side.  While not being a *nix guy I have dipped in a few times.  I did the XBOX Debian thing and also a mean Suse box for wireless testing.  As much as I love renting games and copying them to my hard drive to play (only for the amount of days I rented them and then deleting them), I wanted to do the same with DVD's.  Plus I could replace my DVD player and TIVO with one device.

I  have gotten started using a Fedora Core 3 as the OS but am having trouble with output on my ATI-9600 svideo with Proscan TV.  Will figure that out tomorrow.  Anyways, after I finish the project I plan to get the MythWeb module running so that I can tie that into my Sharepoint site via a HTML page viewer web part.  This will enable me to schedule recordings from within my Sharepoint site.  Pretty cool for me!
