I was under the impression that if it was in the GAC it was assumed safe and didn't need to go into safecontrols in the web.config

Matt - Thanks for your comments, but not sure what editing the lists page will do as this is really an SSRS error where the users are either inactive or not present on the current install..

If you get a chance, would you mind clarifying your comment so we may see better?

A less invasive way of fixing this problem on an individual aspx page is this:

1) Append "/_layouts/viewlsts.aspx" to the end of the site name.

2) Edit the properties of the problem .aspx page and change the contact to a valid AD user and click save.

Thanks for the help. It worked great!!

A couple of things though. I did notice that after you run the stsadm renameserver that you will have to open central admin yourself by entering the URL and port manually. I also noticed that when you change the farm admins name (if you are using a local admin account) that the display name does not change, so you must change that manually by editing the admin profile in sharepoint CA.

We installed the HotFix but the Microsoft.reportingservices.sharepoint.ui.webparts.dll isn't updated to the new version.

P r o d u c t V e r s i o n 9 . 0 0 . 3 0 4 2 . 0 0 A s s e m b l y V e r s i o n 9 . 0 . 2 4 2 . 0

But the version needs to be 9.0.3180.0

I tried to delete the old dll and executed the hotfix again but the dll isn't restored by the hotfix.

Can someone provide me with a solution for this problem or provide the correct Microsoft.reportingservices.sharepoint.ui.webparts.dll.

Thanks for the help. I couldn't understand why my feature wasn't working. I added this line to the web.config and bingo it worked. This frustrated me as I've been working from an example that did not have to do this. So I went back and removed the line to recreate the error. Now, without the line in there it's still working...
