I have the code however it has some glitch. 2 fields could not import properly although they are not important fields. It works for my current project but I don't feel comfortable to release it....thx

Folder is a special item in SP. For the workflow, if it is a custom workflow, it is quite simple to dectect the item type before start it.

kool , But your are adding Folder as Item . Here is problem suppose you want Create a folder in taskList . U have workflow which will be strated on item adding event then how you gonna handle it .. the problem is if u create with spfoldercolletion .. it will create folder but it is hidden type ..

Also a side note, you can iterate through the subsites (spWebs) of a site collection (spSite) by using spSite.Allwebs. This allows you to use it in a forEach statement. :)

Hey there,

For some of you who may not have worked with these objects much there are some very important things to note. Whenever youa re creating instances of any of the above mentioned objects, you need explicitly call dispose on them unless you are using getContext. Otherwise you can get all kinds of craziness happening that will be hard to pindown.
