That's what I thought. I ended up needing 11 service accounts to start a new farm with one SSP and one Web App.

Apart from Service accounts , what do you suggest as to which security groups to use, MOSS or AD groups? AD groups creation need delegation in AD whereas MOSS groups creation is managed inside the MOSS security database.

Thanks

Each step changes a flag in your list (multi-choice column) when it is done.

Each workflow has a condition which checks the flag to see if it is set to the value which it requires to run, otherwise it shuts down. So the previous workflow sets the flag to the vaue required by the next one, and so on. You should be able to do approval branching in the same way.

It means all workflows fire everytime something changes, which will be messy. The workflow history list will be littered with the carcases of all these expired workflows. Use the Log to history list action to keep track of what actually is happening in your workflow collection.

I must say it is big credit to the person who interviewed me. She had a great angle to "tell us how the future might look like".

However, in my case, anon was turned off by default.

To enable Anonymous access, you must do it in central administration > Application Management > Authentication Providers > (this part varies, but it's probably just "default"). You'll see an enable anonymous access checkbox. Turn that on, and go back to your sites. Go to settings, advanced permissions. In the Settings menu here, you should now have an "Anonymous Access" option. You'll probably only want to turn it on for Lists and Libraries, instead of the entire site.

If you do that, you'll find an Anonymous Access option in the Permissions Settings menu of each list. From there, you should grant read access, which will allow the XML web part to read the list.

*phew*
