Beautiful! thank you so much. This solution is clean and elegant - makes good sense. I am sure it will do the trick for me in Designer as well. Why CLOSE window is not an option within the Designer interface, I'll never know. Such a basic function!

Hi Alex,

just out of curiosity, you are talking about "Solution/Features" route (i.e. deploying .wsp files) but, I think it can be used only for deploying customizations and not the actual content right?

E.g. using Solution Deployment (.wsp) technique you can deploy the Custom Master Pages, Site Definitions, List Definitions, Content Types, Site Columns, images, web parts etc, but how do you deploy the Actual Content (List Items or documents or "filled" content editor w/ps) using ".wsp" deployment technique? May be I am missing something and if I am, then pls do share some ideas/links if you know for how to achieve Content Deployment using Solution Deployment technique.

And in the end, thanks a lot to LovedJohnySmith for the nice and simple article, and to Alex for starting the thought process..:).

It did not worked for me...... it is giving me @ Entity.Execute(methinstance,lobsysinstance) and the error is

Error while writing an audit event ; audit source : BDC

What may be the problem??????

Not sure if it is to late to jump in here. I am a tad confused.

My goal is to have InfoPath 2007 close after submition to a MOSS form library. As it stands, the form closes just fine after submit, but InfoPath the program stays open and does not close. Clearly I want it to go back to the doc lib. Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated.

just ran across this post. Tried it. It did not work as expected, so here is my question: When using URLMapping, the InfoPath form receives {0} instead of the actual value of the first parameter. Why? How to fix?
