Can this concept be extended to securing by groups.

I have a page with several lists where the content is only different due to the location. it was not feasible to put everything in to one list as the client has a desire to secure the content by location. So I have created separate location based lists with separate location based security groups. The content secures ok but denied users still get displayed the Access Denied error message and the web part header and border.

I want to be able to hide the error message based on the security groups I have created. The security trimming solution here only works where the permission types are different in each scenario. In my scenario are identical except for the location and different users.

This has already been done by Brightwork (PMPoint), they have written the supporting code to enable subtasks. Their Project Schedule lists are essentially very similar to teh MS Project format using the same format outline numers. This allows for lists to be easily passed from Sharepoint (via Excel) to MS Project. See thier website http://www.brightwork.com/

Or just append "?contents=1" to any URL in SharePoint, this has the exact same effect. Actually you're redirected to the above mentioned page ;-)

Is it possible to have a scrollbar in the menu. I mean if I have 5 items in one level and I want to diplay only 3 with a scroll bar ?

Pal,

I have tried these options many times.

My Share Point Home / Main site has 5 sites already created under it. But, the Top link bar never displays

the dynamic Drop downs as expected.

I did refresh page and followed every step mentioned in many blogs.

Could there be some other issue ?
