Sharing Links: SharePoint Service Pack 1

Thought I'd get up a quick post with some links to articles and postings I've seen this week about the new WSS v3 and MOSS 2007 Service Pack 1 releases.  From what I'm seeing, it looks like there's some good, some bad, right now.

The Good:

The Bad (mostly MSDN forum postings):

I'll try to post more as I find them.  Definitely check out the MSDN postings; although people are having problems, they are getting solutions from the community in some instances.

You have to love reading the one where the guy calls up MS and the tech tells him not to install the service packs in the first place.  I'm sure that guy is in a lot of pain, but WoW... I can't believe he said that.

I guess I'm a popular poster on this thread...Didn't realize the latest entry I had posted earlier, but I am commenting about the book.  I will drop you a line in the New Year.  I'm heading to Florida for a week and then the rest of next week is pretty hectic anyway.  I'll try and drop you a line on facebook sometime at that point.  Have a good holidays! (if you celebrate)

Becky --

I was definitely taken aback by that comment in the forums as well (although based on my past experiences w/ MS support, I'm not entirely surprised).  And from what I'm seeing, there are definitely more forms threads I could post as well on the topic.  I am very heartened to see the community support that people are getting though, that's a very good thing.

Talking next year sounds great, thanks for the followup.  Have a safe trip and a happy holidays!  I'm definitely ready for the break.
