From the cluttered (and clustered) brain of Josef Nielsen... A great place for Food, Friends, and... uh... SharePoint of course!

About Josef Nielsen (echef)

This blog is a place for me to "brain-dump" the things that are happening to me.  This is usually techniology-based, generally around SharePoint or the technologies that support SharePoint, but occassionally straying a bit...  Here's a bit about me:

My background is in "All-Things-Windows" and such, although I've been know to tinker with other platforms.  I'm a technologist at heart, viewing all technical information as relevant.  I've enjoyed working in area's varying from Windows Directory architecture to SQL Database design and administration to Cluster/SAN design and engineering.  I've spent time coding in VB, C, C++, C#, java, and a variety of script languages along the way. I've even spent time as a News Editor and Layout Specialist for a newspaper for a while.

I started working with SharePoint on and off when it was first released, but have only recently really dug in to 2007 and started working heavily in its technologies.  One of the things I love about the MOSS/WSS Platform is that it combines many of the different technologies and design principles I've come to know and love.

I work in the middle of the Majestic Rocky Mountains in Salt Lake City as the Senior Collaboration Engineer for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  In my offline time, I can usually be found in the kitchen, cooking up a mess o' trouble :)  I'm an amateur chef, and enjoy learning about food science as well as food history.  Not very related, I know, but that's me :)
