  I watched a video with Andrew Connell, and it was brought to my attention that Custom Field Controls may be more appropriate than custom web parts in certain situations... • Discussion: SPSite/Site Collection: Does it contain the permission and features that are inherited to the sites within?

  Or does the root web(site) contain those? If the root web(site) contains holds all of that information, is the SPSite(Site Collection) simply a container for SPWebs(Sites)? I'm interested to see peoples thoughts here. Also, SPSite can not contain... • Discussion: Site versus Web in MOSS 2007

  I would like to open this discussion up because I'm having trouble differentiating the terms. Especially when dealing with the object model. SPSite vs. SPWeb. Are there any known differences? My latest thoughts have been that SPSite is the top level...
