same problem...I created SOAP Endpoint on SQL2005 that works fine with Infopath2007...same webservice looks like it will connect  and present the correct parameter info but won't show the data...

Anyone have an answer for this?  I am having this problem all over the place in my MOSS data views.  It's SO frustrating!

I've been working on this a lot - and found someone's blog out there mentioning that you MUST set the webId (GUID of the site where your data comes from) parameter in the Data Source.  I tried this and all of a sudden it works for me.

Has anyone found a resolution to this issue? When I try to set the text and value fields through SharePoint Designer the selection is blank and does not work.

I can use the same XML web service datasource as a Data View Web Part and it seems to work fine but cannot bind it to a data view dropdown list.

Any help would be much appreciated as this really should work.

I have the same problem as the original poster and I can't find that much online on this. Can someone tell me if this is a bug or if I'm missing something. Its really irritating.
