&lt;p&gt;Yes you are right, these area will be unprotected by AV. But you need to exclude the above directories, otherwise your Operating System Anti Virus will start blocking SharePoints calls. SharePoint AV like forefront will only scan files that are being pushed back into the SharePoint database, not at the Operating System level.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#39;m very new to programming in sharepoint .we r now using SPS 2003,C#.net 2003 as per client requirement. and i have to develop the web parts.In order to develop i have to access the information present in the list and display it in the Datagrid. I&amp;#39;m facing prblems while dragging the webpart onto the webpart page.the info is not displayed ..but when i used with &amp;quot;context.response.write(tasks.items[&amp;quot;Title&amp;quot;]);&amp;quot; &amp;nbsp;its displaying.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;My another requiremnt is to fetch the images based on one of the field of the Picture Library &amp;#39;s folder and display that image on the image webpart.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Could you please help me in this regard....i&amp;#39;m really lost &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It wud really of great help...&lt;/p&gt;
