I have created a custom field named category in my links list.  I want to have a drop down part which contains the category field I can pass the parameter.  I am having troubles... can you suggest a good place to look?

Where are the Outlook WebParts located?  I haven't been able to find them yet.  I am running MOSS 2007...

Hi Keith,

if you type the following url in your environment:

http://<MOSS SITE>/_layouts/newdwp.aspx

This will display a list of web parts that are available to you in your portal. In here you will see the out of the box Outlook web parts. Select the check box of all the web parts you want to see and click populate to gallery.

The web parts should be available in your gallery.

Cheers

I went to the link and I do not have any web parts that pertain to Outlook.  I am looking for them because we plan on using them and is one of the only reasons why we chose MOSS for our portal application.  Is there another location where I can get them?  Or is it something that just wasn't installed?

Thanks,

Keith

Hi Keith,

Are you still having problems trying to find the outlook web parts?

The Outlook Web Parts are available out of the Box and are normally available after an install. There is no special installation to get OUTLOOK WEB PARTS.

They are listed as OWAInBox / My In Box.

Let me know what is happening?

Cheers

Hi Wesley,

You could use the OWA In-Box web part, in the property of the web part you have the option of mailbox. Put the mail box name in here and the user should view the in box of this account. The In-Box must be shared in Exchange in order for this to work.

Hope this helps :-)

Hi Prasad,

Are you looking at only having a search option to search the list? Or are you looking at searching across all areas / sites and not getting results from the lists ? Could you explain the problem a little more so I can assist?

Hi Bobby,

I'm very new to programming in sharepoint .we r now using SPS 2003,C#.net 2003 as per client requirement. and i have to develop the web parts. In order to develop i have to access the information present in the list and display it in the Datagrid. I'm facing prblems while dragging the webpart onto the webpart page.the info is not displayed ..but when i used with "context.response.write(tasks.items["Title"]);"  its displaying.

My another requiremnt is to fetch the images based on one of the field of the Picture Library 's folder and display that image on the image webpart.

Could you please help me in this regard....i'm really lost

It wud really of great help...

Thanks ,

Sudha

Hi Bobby,

I there any way I can differentiate a Out-Of-the box web part and custom web part by using SharePoint object model? If there any property that would differentiate a web part as a built-in or not?

Regards,

Raghavan
