Accessibility Kit for SharePoint (AKS)

Microsoft teamed up to HiSoftware to develop templates, master pages and webparts to help individuals with disabilities, especially those with vision impairment.

HiSoftware have ensured they are W3C which is something some of my schools have been crying out for to help with their kids.  One of my schools I look after directory are a special needs school and will be very happy with this.

Released by 27th November - when I get a copy I'll let you know how they are.

I've actually been on the presentation on AKS given at TechEd Barcelona two weeks ago. The first release of the toolkit is aimed at the Internet facing sites. So far HiSoftware has succeeded in modifying the out of the box CSS and master pages to be W3C compliant. They are also going to provide some control adapters and guidelines. I don't know how about you but I personally never use the out of the box templates and web parts for our customers when we're developing an Internet facing site. I hope it will be more help for you than for me.
